Your LLPA board has been working hard to reduce the amount of heavy truck traffic on our peninsula road. If we can get everyone to go with a single waste hauler provider, traffic will be reduced to a single day of the week, with two trucks traveling on our roads.
American Waste gave us a bid forĀ $ 11.75 / month, with the first month free , and guaranteed that rate for the next three years . Many LLPA residents have already switched to American Waste. Have you?
To, to save money for you, and save wear on our roads, your Long Lake Peninsula Board encourages you to call Pat at American Waste at 231-624-1550. Pat is willing to make all the necessary contacts to switch your account to American Waste after your current obligation ends with your current provider. Please call him soon and let’s start saving money and our roads.
I’m noticing more American Waste cans as I take my frequent walks–looks like some are switching. Would it not be helpful to send individual e-mails to all homeowners, to increase the likelihood that they will conform?
I’m noticing more road cracks than usual this year. You might enhance the urgency by detailing some of the impending costs of repair if the heavy weight vehicle traffic continues.
Thanks
We use American Waste now by the bag, since we aren’t always here and don’t usually have a lot of trash.
Although by doing that, we don’t have recycle. We have been hauling in to recycling centers.
As long as they keep the recycling centers open, its a great way to go.
Mike
Thanks for the doing the research. We’ll call Pat and which, 1503 Outer Dr.
Pat
We have always usedWaste Management so will resume our seasonal service with them. Thank you and hopefully all will go with this service.
Long overdue!! Your letter does not appear to address recycling. I will ask Pat at the number given. Thanks.
Did Nancy misread the letter? It is American Waste, not Waste Management.
If 90% go with American, and a few, say 5% go with Allied, and the remainder go with Waste Management (say the remaining 5%) won’t that still mean 6 trucks per week? Maybe if enough leave Waste Management & Allied, those companies won’t consider it worth their time comming on to the peninsula at all, for just 5 or 6 accounts per week. Thanks for a great job, this American Waste deal looks like it will work for everyone, no matter what their circumstances, and the fact that they have the best price doesn’t hurt either.
we used American Waste and they accomodate seasonal, as well as, regular service. Many don’t offer seasonal pickup. It’s the best of both options.
